Range is the difference between the maximum (max.) and minimum (min.) prices for a trading instrument over a certain period of time. As a general rule, traders select a time frame in which to work (an hour, day, week, etc.) and keep an eye on the instrument over this time period. The corridor, or channel, in which the price moves (including the max. and min. price) is considered as the range.
